The Dimenco technology team originates from the former Philips 3D venture and is very experienced in development of 3D products. Our consultancy services aims to tool clients up for production of 3D displays. By making use of this service it is ensured that the development efficiency and quality of a 3D products is at the highest level possible.
TYPICAL PROJECTS WE DO ARE:
Design
Different product types and applications require different designs. Together with our clients we define the functional requirements of the product and can do a complete design cycle. Such a design will be digitally prototyped in advance and before investing for the next step it can be clear what the 3D performance will be.
Mechanical Design and Prototyping
The mechanics for the 3D display component are designed and a 3D module can be quickly produced, manufactured and measured. This prototyping is done according to a scalable process. This way a product design is close to final before a factory is set up.
Component Sourcing
The 3D technology is built on several key components. Dimenco has access to a cost effective high quality supply chain of lenses, electronics and mechanics required for 3D displays. Dimenco can make this supply chain available, and optimize the suppliers for different applications according to the requirements for 3D and displays in general.
Manufacturing Facility
Dimenco can consult on the whole design and implementation process of 3D manufacturing facilities. Important topics are clean room design, equipment design and sourcing, process layout, operator training, ramping up etc.
Electronics and Rendering Design
A 3D display product is nothing without good electronics and support for the advanced 2D+Z format. The high end implementation of the FPGA-based rendering used by the Dimenco rendering core can be made available. Based on the different requirements specially tailored implementations are possible.
Software Development
Dimenco displays are delivered with software to control 3D displays parameters and play back content on Windows based PCs. Software sources are available for licensees. Dimenco can assist in rebranding and tailoring of the software for its customers.
